The entrance fee to the National Museum of the Philippines (Pambansang Museo ng Pilipinas) is now permanently free effective July 1, 2016. Everyone may tour the museum without having to pay an entrance fee.

Previously, adults had to pay P150, senior citizens, P120, and students, P50 for admission. Entry used to be free only on Sundays and special holidays. Now, everyone can tour the museums without having to worry about the fees.

According to the Board of Trustees of the National Museum, they intended to further increase the already significantly growing number of visitors. With this free admission policy, they expect more visitors would be interested to tour the museum.
